''100 in 8'' The traditional ''100 in 8'' took place from the Papal Cross on Sunday 24th August . This was the 8th round of the Leisure League and the 3rd of 3 to qualify for an IVCA Touring medal. 31 riders took part in the event which was run off at a fast pace over a similar route to last year through Blanchardstown, Ratoath ,Skyrne and on to Navan from where some riders returned to base. The remainder continued on to Athboy for a well earned lunch in the Old Darnley Lodge Hotel. Suitably refreshed it was on to Delvin ,Kilucan and into a head wind for the return journey back to the Park. 4 points will be awarded for this event. The next event will be the West Wicklow 100 on Sunday 14th Sept. more details to follow. Gay Farnan. |
