The annual lunch and prize presentation was held
on Sunday November 29th in the Springfield Hotel, Leixlip.

Willie Marks celebrated his 90th birthday.
Congratulations Willie.
The Race Committee had its first meeting this week and again a
top topic was the formultaion of a Timekeeper Panel.
As previous requests have had minimal response we have decided to
offer an incentive by way of remuneration of expenses for TT timing.
We have in mind a fixed payment per event, the actual ammount not
having been decided yet.
Ideal candidates would be retired from racing members who wish to
continue to be associated with the cameraderie and craic of the
racing.
An alternative might be racing members who do not participate in
the time trials themselves but would be willing to commit to supporting
them.
Another possibility might be family members or friends of members.
The continuation of IVCA racing is totally dependant on sufficient
members volunteering to carry out the necessary duties.

Sept 27th - Hill Climb |
Stephen McNally took his third victory in four years in the IVCA
Hill Climb at Kilmacanogue on Sunday, 27th. September. With a blistering
time of 7m 15 secs, Stephen once again broke the record for the
ascent of the 1.6 mile climb. Second fastest was Oriol Carbo with
a time of 7m 52 secs, with Daryl Bent, another Hill Climb specialist,
third in 7m 52secs.
Best on handicap time was John O'Sullivan, who improved on his previous
time by 34 secs.

The leisure calendar for 2010 is now available.
The first event is on Sunday Jan 17th. A 75 Km spin through East
Meath,starting at the Popes cross at 10.00am

Peter Schweppe is organising his annual training trip to Spain
next April. Going out on sat 10 April. Returning home sat 24th April.
Total cost will be less than 700 euros, to include flights, accommodation
(half board) and transfers to and from hotel.
This is a very popular trip and places are limlted so book early.
